Say the job in 30 seconds. Tradietool drafts a SWMS (Safe Work Method Statement) for you to check, download and send to the builder for sign-off. Here's how it works, step by step.
Tradietool turns a quick voice note, or a few typed lines, into a draft SWMS for your job. It picks out the hazards, the controls, the PPE and the emergency details, and lays it all out in a PDF your builder or PCBU can approve and your crew can sign on to.
Sign up with your email or your Google account. We check every new account by hand, so it can take a little while. We'll email you once you're approved.
Tap record and talk it through like you're briefing a new offsider. Rather type? Write or paste the job in instead.
Say these and you'll get fewer questions
If something's missing — like the first-aider's full name or how long the job runs — Tradietool asks before it finishes. Answer and it carries on.
Read the draft from top to bottom. Fix anything that doesn't match your site with Edit, then tap Download PDF. AI can get things wrong, so this check matters.
Tap Submit for Review, add the site manager's or PCBU's email and tap Send for approval. They get a link by email and don't need an account. If you're the PCBU yourself, tap Review & Approve to sign it off in the app.
Once it's approved, tap Share sign-on link. Your crew scan the QR code on their phones, read the SWMS and sign on. No app or account needed.
Tell us what works and what doesn't. Tap Feedback (on a phone, it's Send feedback in the menu), or rate a SWMS after you make it. It goes straight to the people building Tradietool.
Tradietool is built for NSW and Queensland. Other states are coming later. The checks are automatic — they help, but they don't replace your own check or the PCBU's approval.
Works today in NSW and Queensland. Every draft goes through our full set of automatic checks before you see it. If a check can't run, the app tells you.
Electrical SWMSPlumbing, carpentry, scaffolding, concreting, demolition, excavation and more are on the way. Join the waitlist and we'll email you when your trade is ready.
Electrical SWMS in your state: NSW or Queensland. New to SWMS? What is a SWMS?
Yes. It's free during the beta, and you don't need a card to join. If we bring in paid plans later, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice, and you'll only pay if you choose a paid plan.
No. Tradietool helps you draft a SWMS, but it isn't WHS or legal advice. Get professional WHS advice where you need it.
You and the PCBU do. Tradietool runs automatic checks on every draft, but AI can still get things wrong or miss things. Before work starts, the PCBU or principal contractor must check it against the actual site, talk it through with the workers, fix anything that's wrong and approve it. Your WHS duties stay with you.
Your account, SWMS and PDFs are stored in Sydney, Australia. Your voice notes and job details go to an AI provider in the United States to be transcribed and drafted. While you record, your browser's own speech recognition may also send your audio to its maker, such as Google or Apple. We use other US providers for hosting, email, error monitoring and page-view analytics, and, from 1 December 2026, one in Germany for website analytics. We don't sell your information or use it for advertising. Read the Privacy Policy.

Tradietool is free while it’s in beta. Tell us what’s working and what’s not. It goes straight to the founder, and it shapes what we build next.
